Neh, The way Defi gauges work is you have Meter output 1 and 2, 1 is for Link version and 2 is BF version, each output can handle up to 7 gauges daisy chained using their unique connectors.. (i have BF version but Meter output 1 willl work you just need your lights turned on.. still not working) so 1 wire supplies, Voltage, GND, Signal, and ...

Locate the DEFI Boost solenoid, and mount it someplace in your engine bay with the nipple facing downwards. Tee into your intake manifold, or tee into the vacuum line that runs to your fuel pressure regulator for the boost source. Next run the plug side of the harness into the cabin, and connect it to your DEFI Control Unit.

I am still lost on the mechanical boost gauge. Motoracer110 Motoracer110 Well-Known Member Jun 30, 2020 #9 JBINTX said: You can mount the sensor on the side of the intake. See pic below. 1- plug into that Brass 90 on the intake tube - your pic above that is open 2-goes back to the turbo

Discussion Starter · #1 · Nov 20, 2005 I got a BF boost gauge and control unit about a week ago and hooked it all up. Hook it up and see what it reads. That will solve the issue as far as knowing what the boost is set to. I am doing that myself now because my car is set to 25psi but showing 30 on the Defi. I am pretty sure it is not boosting to that because the car is not hitting the fuel cut set lower then the 30psi.

Assuming there is nothing wrong with your guage, on a 60 psi scale, normal boost in a stock engine will show almost nothing if you are cruising on level ground. You might see 2 or 3 psi on a slight upgrade. If your turbo is in good shape you should see 15 to 18 psi when you punch it hard and hold it down going up hill or pull a heavy load.

Don't start the car but rather just turn on the accessories because the vac line is not attached yet. Plug the dimmer switch up and hit the headlight switch. The light should come on if everything was connected properly. Next trim the necessary amount of vac line and install the line in the back of the gauge.
